More than 1,000 Fresno homes without power, PG&E says. Fix will take several hours

More than 1,000 homes were without power Tuesday morning in and around Fresno in an outage expected to continue for several hours, according to Pacific Gas & Electric.

The largest swath of people without power were in Easton, where 1,034 users lost power before 6:30 a.m., PG&E said.

Crews were en route to assess and cure the problem, but PG&E estimated power would be out until 11:30 a.m.

The cause of the outage was not immediately clear.

More than 200 users lost power around the same time in a neighborhood south of Shaw Avenue between West and Marks avenues, PG&E reported.

The power was expected to return at 9:30 a.m., according to the power company.

Nearly 400 users were without power all night after it failed about 10 p.m. Monday for homes and others along Willow north of Copper avenues, the PG&E outage map shows. Equipment failure played a part in the outage.

The power there was expected to return at 9 a.m.

More than 1,000 homes were expected to be without power for several hours on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, according to Pacific Gas & Electric.
