Highway into Yosemite National Park shut down due to rockfall, possibly closed ‘for days’

Drivers heading into the Yosemite National Park via Highway 120 are being warned to plan on taking alternate routes after a rockfall shut down the roadway Monday.

The incident took place on Big Oak Flat Road between the Foresta junction and Yosemite Valley. Officials warned that it may last for several days before road crews can clear the route.

Travelers will still be able to access Yosemite Valley through Highways 140 and 41.

Anyone who needs additional information is asked to call 209-372-0200.
