Clovis Unified officials late Wednesday afternoon called off an all-band event at Veterans Memorial Stadium set for 6 p.m. due to a forecast of rain in the Fresno-Clovis area.

Ten marching bands from the school district were set to take the field together to perform the National Anthem at the Buchanan High School stadium as part of the 16th Annual Band Day in Clovis. Officials had expected more than 1,000 student performers to take part in the event.
