A busy Fresno intersection west of Highway 99 will be closed for about two weeks to make traffic signal improvements.

The City of Fresno announced Tuesday that the intersection of Clinton and Valentine avenues will close beginning Wednesday and last through Nov. 18.

Westbound Clinton Avenue traffic will detour to Marks Avenue while eastbound Clinton will detour using Brawley Avenue.

Drivers trying to get to Hanh Phan Tilley Elementary School are encouraged to utilize McKinley Avenue to access Valentine Avenue and should expect delays.

The Fresno Cambodian Buddhist Society temple is also just north of the intersection, and an alternate route will be needed to be taken to get there.
