Construction work on Highway 41 north of Fresno expected to soon cause delays

Drivers heading north on Highway 41 from Fresno should expect nighttime delays for about two weeks, beginning Thursday, according to the California Department of Transportation.

Crews will pave about 1,200 feet of northbound and southbound lanes on State Route 41 where it runs into south of Highway 145, the Department of Transportation said Tuesday.

That stretch of highway to be worked on is about 11 miles north of River Park Shopping Center.

Work will start at 8 p.m. Thursday and continue to 5 a.m.

Traffic control will be in place and motorists can expect delays for up to 10 minutes, although the completion date could be extended, depending on weather conditions or unforeseen events.
