SUVs collide on wet roadway southwest of Fresno, knocking down a power pole
A power pole snapped off and crashed atop an SUV during a “major injury collision” in the rain Monday evening southwest of Fresno.
Multiple California Highway Patrol officers were sent to Jensen and Brawley avenues after two SUVs collided in the rain. The CHP described it as a “major injury collision.”
The CHP and emergency workers were assessing the injuries after the 6:24 p.m. crash.
It appeared that one of the vehicles broadsided the other SUV and knocked that vehicle into a power pole. The pole was snapped off at its base and came to rest on the vehicle.
Jensen was closed as officers investigated the scene.
