Major highway connector in Fresno closing to nighttime traffic. Here’s how long it will last

A major section of Fresno freeway will be closed each night for the next several months as Caltrans completes a work project in the area.

The Highway 180 westbound connector ramp to northbound Highway 41 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Tuesday, according to a statement from Caltrans.

Work will take place Sunday nights through Thursday mornings only, Caltrans said.

Construction crews will be installing a concrete barrier on the left side of the connector.

The work is expected to run through mid-November, though it could last longer if necessary, because of weather delays or other uncontrollable events, Caltrans said.

Drivers in the area during nighttime closures should use extra care and allow for additional travel time.
