Update: PG&E power restored after Monday morning outages in Fresno
UPDATE: As of 12:30 p.m. Monday, there were no outages of more than one PG&E customer in the Fresno area.
UPDATE: As of 10:15 a.m. Monday, the PG&E outage map showed one remaining pocket of 128 customers without power in Fresno near Belmont and Grantland avenues.
ORIGINAL STORY: A large swath of Fresno woke up to a power outage Monday that Pacific Gas & Electric Co. said could last into mid-morning.
According to the PG&E online outage center, 5,474 customers are without power. The ouutages are concentrated in three areas:
- The largest is west of Highway 99 between Ashlan and Clinton avenues.
- In central Fresno, stretching from near Blackstone Avenue to West Avenue between Ashlan and Shaw avenues.
- Ashlan to Shields Avenue between Marks and West avenues.
Power went out at 5:26 a.m. Restoration was expected by 8:30 a.m., PG&E said.
The cause was not immediately known.
