Three Fresno women and a Merced woman killed in a head-on crash in Monterey County

Three Fresno women and a Merced woman were killed Monday morning in a head-on crash in Monterey County.

The crash happened at 6:20 a.m. at Jolon and North Mission roads, about 20 miles south of King City.

The driver of a Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Jolon Road at an unknown speed, north of Mission Road, while the driver of a Honda Civic headed south on Jolon Road at an unknown speed, north of Mission Road.

CHP said the Toyota Corolla traveled into the southbound lane of Jolon Road, striking the other vehicle head-on.

The driver of the Toyota Corolla, identified as 45-year-old Mary Lee of Fresno, was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Three other passengers inside the Toyota Corolla were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were identified as Xiong Lee, 44, and Pa Vue, 36, both of Fresno, and Malisa Moua, 52, of Merced.

The driver of the Honda Civic was taken to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
