PG&E investigating power outage in Fresno County foothills as temperatures soar

PG&E was investigating a power outage in the Prather area Friday afternoon.

About 689 customers were without power, the PG&E website stated.

It was not immediately known why the power was out, and crews were en route to investigate the outage.

The power was reported out at 2:26 p.m. and PG&E estimated power would be restored by 8 p.m.

The outage stretches along Highway 168 to Auberry Road.

The temperature in Prather was 94 degrees at the time of the outage.
