Fatal crash reported near Dos Palos, says California Highway Patrol

The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash Wednesday afternoon on Highway 33 and Cypress Avenue, just south of the Dos Palos Y.

Details are preliminary.

According to the CHP’s website, the crash was reported at 4:21 p.m. as a vehicle that had overturned into a ditch. A vehicle apparently crashed into a power pole and caught fire, resulting in downed power lines and causing firefighters to respond to the scene.

The CHP’s website said a vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, and Riggs Ambulance also responded to the scene.
