Nearly 1,000 volunteers were expected to hit the streets throughout Fresno on Saturday as part of Beautify Fresno’s contributions to the Great American Cleanup.
Organizers described the effort as a labor of love that was to end in a party, complete with food trucks, music, and other activities at Chukchansi Park.

Fifteen projects were targeted, from Lions Skate Park at 4050 N. Marks Ave., to the Tower District in the 1200 block of North Wishon Avenue, to Kings Canyon and Clovis avenues in southeast Fresno.
