Lightning sparks Visalia mobile home fire
A lightning-sparked fire caused $40,000 in damage to a mobile home in the 2100 block of South Santa Fe Street early Thursday, the Visalia Fire Department reported.
The blaze erupted about 1 a.m. during a thunderstorm when a lightning bolt struck a power pole and caused live wires to fall down in back of the residence.
Two occupants were able to escape with their pets.
