Visalia Police Dept. to host ‘Coffee with a Cop’
The Visalia Police Department will be hosting “Coffee with a Cop” on July 8, asking community members to come together informally to foster and build community relations.
Part of a national initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Justice, similar events are being held across the country to provide opportunities for law enforcement to interact with the public in non-emergency situations.
“‘Coffee with a Cop’ breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction,” Sgt. Damon Maurice said.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at McDonald’s, 1147 E. Noble Ave., inside the Mary’s Vineyard Shopping Center.
