A worker on foot was injured Wednesday when he was struck by a car in central Fresno, police said.

The man was on Shields near Palm avenues setting up traffic control signs about 7:30 a.m. when a man driving a small sedan crashed into a construction truck and its trailer, according to police.

The car also clipped the pedestrian, who was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, possibly a broken bone, police said.
