Deja Skye may not be the favorite to win season 14 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” but she moved up in some power rankings and is definitely on the radar of followers of the show after her performance on last week’s episode.

The Fresno drag queen was the week’s standout, winning “The Snatch Game” challenge with an impersonation of rapper Lil Jon that earned mega laughs from host Ru Paul, became the talk of the Drag Race blogs and was quick for social media fodder.

There’s already a remix of Usher’s “Yeah!” video with clips of DeJa’s spliced in place of Lil Jon and a mock album cover that features DeJa as (not so) Lil Jon.

And merchandise.

The Atlanta rapper even took note and gave DeJa a Twitter shoutout.

“Killed it,” Lil Jon wrote, in all caps, followed by the praise hand emoji.

Even pop star Ariana Grande started following DeJa on Instagram following the performance, which may not be a direct endorsement, but is not a bad sign that people are paying attention as the queens progress through the season.

The challenge was a big win for DeJa, who came into the episode disappointed by a second-place finish the week before. “The Snatch Game” is a quintessential Drag Race challenge that often feeds the season’s highlight reels and is seen by many as precursor to the finals.

In other words, contestants want to do well on this challenge. And Skye was the only contestant who did.

The other seven contestants — Willow Pill, Bosco, Jasmine Kennedie, Daya Betty, Jorgeous, Angeria Paris VanMicheals and Sacramento’s Lady Camden — all received negative reviews from the judges and will now be forced to face off for elimination in a lip-sync battle on this week’s episode.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14” can be seen 8 p.m. Fridays on VH1.
