Almost two years have passed since the first confirmed local cases of the coronavirus pandemic were identified in Fresno County and the central San Joaquin Valley in early March 2020.
Since that time, almost 487,000 people in the Valley have been infected with COVID-19, and nearly 5,500 have died from the respiratory disease.
The following charts show the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had, and continues to have, on the Valley.
