Car overturns on Herndon Avenue in Fresno, injuring driver, police say

The power was out for potentially hundreds of PG&E customers near Marks and Herndon avenues after a car struck electrical guide wiring and overturned, Fresno police said.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. according to police. The car landed on its roof on the side of the road. The woman who was driving had minor injuries, police said.

PG&E’s online outage map at 11:30 a.m. showed outages for locations north and south of Herndon near Marks.

The company was accessing the cause of the outage, and expected power to be restored by 1:30 p.m., according to the site.
