Highway 41 closed down by police in northeast Fresno. Here’s who they were looking for
Highway 41 in northeast Fresno was shut down briefly as police officers searched for a man along the freeway Monday night.
Just before 6 p.m., officers were called to the area of Highway 41 near Bullard Avenue for a suspicious person on the side of the highway, according to Lt. Brian Valles. Officers attempted to approach the man, but he ran from officers and headed for the roadway.
Fresno police shut down northbound Highway 41 at Shaw Avenue to search for the man but could not find him.
Valles said at around 7 p.m. the search was called off and the highway was reopened.
