Man hit by vehicle while walking less than a mile north of Fresno State campus
A man was critically wounded after he was hit by a vehicle less than a mile north of the Fresno State campus.
The incident, which Fresno Police described as a hit-and-run, happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cedar and Bullard avenues.
Fresno Police said a man was struck by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Bullard. It was unclear what direction the man had been walking.
Officers arrived to the scene and rendered aid of the pedestrian, who was lying in the left lane of westbound Bullard, just west of Cedar. The victim was transported to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center and in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene.
Police are searching for video surveillance to determine a description of the suspect’s vehicle and perhaps even uncover a license plate number.
