Woman killed in head-on crash in Fresno County identified. 3 cars in all were involved
A woman killed in a head-on collision last week in Fresno County has been identified by the sheriff’s Coroner’s Office.
Tanya Ramirez, 32, was named Monday as the woman killed in a crash along Whitesbridge Avenue just west of Bishop Avenue near Kerman.
Just after 8 p.m. Friday, Ramirez was driving east along Whitesbridge in a Ford Escape. The driver of a Nissan Versa, going the opposite direction, swerved in front of her, according to the California Highway Patrol. The two vehicles collided head-on.
A Toyota Prius, going west, crashed into the other two vehicles. Ramirez was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The nature of any injuries suffered by the other drivers or passengers and their conditions were not available. No update on the status of the investigation was provided.
