Homeless man found dead in his tent along Fresno canal, police say
Fresno police investigated the death of a homeless man Friday after he was found dead by a friend along a canal bank.
Department spokesman Felipe Uribe said officers were sent to the area of East McKinley and North Peach avenues, where members of the city’s homeless community had set up tents along the Fresno Irrigation District canal.
The man who found the victim told officers that the victim had been ill, Uribe said.
His identity will be disclosed by the Fresno County Coroner.
