Two men struck and killed by train in Madera County. Sheriff seeks to unravel mystery

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to two men being struck and killed by a train.

The incident happened Saturday around 8 p.m. in the area of Avenue 9 and Road 33, the sheriff’s office said. The men, who had not been identified as of Sunday night, were declared dead at the scene. Detectives interviewed the train conductor.
