Downtown Fresno building burns, again. Fire officials worry structure may collapse

An early-morning fire in downtown Fresno on Tuesday left a building on the verge of collapse, fire officials reported.

The structure, at Inyo and H streets, was teetering after the suspicious blaze erupted shortly after 4 a.m.

The structurally damaged building, across from Chukchansi Park, is home to a Black Live Matter mural.

The blaze may finish off the building after firefighters fought an earlier blaze there in May.

Battalion Chief Thomas Cope said officials believe homeless activity in the building may have sparked the new blaze.
