Slow down out there: How long dense fog advisory will last in Central California
The National Weather Service called for central San Joaquin Valley drivers to slow down Friday morning as a dense fog was expected to cover the region until about 11 a.m.
Visibility was expected to range from 800 feet to as little as 200 feet. The fog was expected to be heaviest on the west side of the Valley near Interstate 5, but all major roadways and highways are impacted.
Safety tips include: Slow down, avoid high beams and keep plenty of distance from vehicles in front.
