Fresno pedestrian had right of way to cross street. Then, a driver ran a red light, cops say
A driver who ran a red light severely hit a man Thursday night in southeast Fresno.
According to Fresno police, the man was crossing the street at the intersection of McKinley and Cedar when a driver ran a red light and struck the victim in the crosswalk around 8 p.m..
The victim was in critical condition and suffered a serious head wound.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, Fresno police said.
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
