19-year-old man dies in motorcycle crash near Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis, police say

A 19-year-old man was killed Wednesday after a motorcycle crash in Clovis, police said.

The man was identified as Hunter Sauceda of Clovis.

The collision happened around 4 p.m. at Sunnyside and Shaw avenues next to Sierra Vista Mall.

Clovis police Lt. Jim Munro said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Shaw approaching Sunnyside when it collided with another vehicle and came to a rest near a concrete wall. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained on scene and was cooperating, Munro said.

Shaw and Sunnyside was closed for a few hours as police investigated the crash.
