Crews fighting 600-acre wildfire near Pine Flat Lake in Fresno County
UPDATE: At around 11:30 a.m on Friday the Sierra National Forest officials reported the fire had remained at 600 aces and 15% contained.
Fire crews are battling a wildfire that is threatening cultural resources and transmission lines north of Pine Flat Lake.
The Trimmer Fire in Fresno County around 5 p.m. Thursday was estimated at 600 acres and 15% contained.
According to Sierra National Forest officials, the threats are located around Sacata Ridge.
National forest officials said a crew of 164 that good progress was made on the blaze and control lines were strengthened as crews faced steep and rugged terrain.
The fire started around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials reminded the public that firefighting equipment will be traveling on the roads going into the Trimmer Fire area.
