Man left dead after driver hits him, drives away in central Fresno, police say

A man was killed late Saturday night in central Fresno after he was hit by a driver who fled the scene, according to police.

The man who was killed had not yet been identified Sunday morning. The crash happened near the intersection of Crystal and Clinton avenues, just east of Highway 99.

According to information provided by police, the driver who hit the man fled the scene and has not been found.

Police were dispatched to the area around 10:50 p.m. Detectives are still investigating.
