Highway 180 partially reopen east of Squaw Valley after fire closure
Highway 180 near Squaw Valley was partially reopened Monday as crews battled a wildfire.
Flames from the Kings Fire burning brush near Kings Canyon Road and Dunlap Road just east of Squaw Valley.
The fire that started Sunday had burned 50 acres and was at 40 percent containment as of Monday morning, according to the most recent report from Cal Fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No estimated time on reopening the entire Highway 180 was available.
Squaw Valley is about 30 miles east of Fresno.
