Woman stabbed in the head twice in downtown Fresno, police search for attacker

A woman was stabbed twice in the head Tuesday night in downtown Fresno, police said.

Police received a call just before 9 p.m. of a stabbing victim at the downtown amphitheater at Mariposa Mall and O Street.

Witnesses told police that the suspect was punching the woman before stabbing her.

The woman was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.

Witnesses said the suspect was wearing white reflective pants and a blue reflective vest, and took off toward Fresno City Hall after the attack.
