Two shot dead in Fowler home, including a teen. The shooter died, as well, but in a different way
Two people were shot to death inside a home in Fowler, and the man who is believed to be responsible for the killings Saturday has died, too, after attempting to flee from law enforcement, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. at a residence near Fifth and Tuolumne streets.
The sheriff’s office said the two victims are a man in his 40s and a 16-year-old, fatally shot in what deputies believe was related to domestic violence.
The shooter, whose identity was not immediately released, died Saturday night.
Reedley police located the suspect and attempted to pull him over, but he sped away then crashed into a moving train near Manning Avenue and Golden State Boulevard, the sheriff’s office said.
The relationship between the two victims and shooter was not immediately known.
The suspect was in his 20s.
Fowler police, the initial agency looking into the shooting, has turned over the investigation to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
This is the first killings in Fowler this year and the small city’s first in seven months, according to the sheriff’s office.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 559-600-3111.
