Wildfire forces mandatory evacuation order near Hensley Lake
A wildfire burned about 170 acres and structures were threatened near Hensley Lake in Madera County on Monday.
According to the Cal Fire spokesperson Jaime Williams, the blaze was reported around 1:30 p.m. near Road 600 and Road 603.
Williams said as of 3 p.m. forward progress of the fire has been stopped and structure threats mitigated.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office issued a mandatory evacuation order for the area; it was lifted around 3 p.m. when the fire was reported at 70% contained.
