This Catholic school in Fresno will close its campus after nearly 70 years

After 67 years, Our Lady of Victory Catholic School will close its doors for the final time on Friday as the school year comes to a close.

The Diocese of Fresno decided in March to close the central Fresno school, located at 1626 W. Princeton Ave., due to rising costs and declining enrollment.

The school will host a parade at the campus from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday to thank supporters and honor the Class of 2020, as well as teachers and staff.

“We would like to thank the very generous supporters of Our Lady of Victory School Catholic School, who gave of their time, their talent, and their treasure,” the school said in a news release.

The school said supporters could drive by the campus one final time and wave, cheer, and say goodbye to the Our Lady of Victory School community.

Our Lady of Victory Catholic School opened in 1951.
