Fresno County adds three more deaths from the coronavirus, 82 positive cases

Fresno County reported 82 new positive cases of the coronavirus and three new deaths on Friday.

A total of 374 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the respiratory illness caused by the pandemic.

The central San Joaquin Valley climbed past 3,000 cases on Thursday.

Around the Valley

Tulare County reported 10 more deaths related to COVID-19 on Friday. Forty-three new positive cases brings the total to 1,338, according to health officials.

Kings County has 14 new cases, including one more death. The positive cases now stands at 372. Two people have died and 113 have recovered.

Merced County reported 11 new cases, lifting the total to 200. Two new deaths bring the total to six while 127 have recovered.

Madera County had a single new case to reach 70 overall. Two people have died. There have been a total of 53 recoveries.

Officials in the foothills of Mariposa County reported 15 cases total, including a single death. The rest of the patients have recovered.

California has tested 1.1 million people with more than 73,000 positive cases and more than 3,000 deaths, according to the The COVID Tracking Project and Johns Hopkins University CSSE.
