Three-alarm fire displaces two Fresno families
A three-alarm fire at an apartment complex in central Fresno displaced two families early Monday, the Fresno Fire Department reported.
The fire was reported about 7 a.m. in the 4400 block of East Clay Avenue, near the 180/168 freeway intersection.
Fresno fire spokesman Robert Castillo said that no one was injured in the blaze, but arriving firefighters quickly called for additional support and the blaze grew to three alarms.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced families. The amount of financial damage and the cause of the fire were under investigation.
