Body of Armona woman found in California Aqueduct near Coalinga
A woman’s body was found floating in the California Aqueduct near Coalinga on Tuesday afternoon.
A spokesman for the California Highway Patrol said officers were called to the discovery near the waterway and Jayne Avenue about 2 p.m. by workers from the state Department of Water Resources.
The victim was identified Thursday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Ashley Padilla, 36, of Armona (Hanford).
The CHP is investigating the incident.
