The coronavirus has infected more than 200 Californians, and four have died, according to health officials.

Gov. Gavin Newsom has said gatherings of more than 250 people should not be held. Sports programs from high school through professional leagues have canceled or suspended their games. Schools are moving classes online and closing down campuses.

As the virus becomes a new reality for California, what questions do you have about it?

In the video, reader questions are answered by an emergency room physician, Dr. Jessica Mason. She is an assistant professor at the University of California, San Francisco medical school’s branch campus, UCSF Fresno.
