Woman suffers major injuries in car-vs.-pedestrian collision in southwest Fresno
Golden State Boulevard south of Fresno Street was shut down early Friday after a woman on foot was struck by a car and sustained major injuries, police reported.
Detectives from the department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit were sent to the collision scene, north of Church Avenue, about 7 a.m.
The collision took place near a homeless encampment, but it was not known if that was related to the incident.
