Selma man ejected from ATV. Alcohol may be a factor, CHP says
A Selma man was taken to the hospital with major injuries after he was ejected from an ATV on Friday, the California Highway Patrol said.
Jose Gonzalez, 43, was riding a Yamaha Raptor 700 south on Mitchell Avenue near Mountain View Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when the crash happened, according to a news release.
Gonzalez was speeding and when he made a turn, the ATV flipped. He was not wearing a helmet, CHP said.
He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with head injuries.
Alcohol may be a factor, CHP said, but the investigation is ongoing.
