A man walking on the tracks with his earphones on was struck by a train Saturday afternoon, Selma police said.

The victim was identified Monday by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Daniel Picazo, 55, of Selma.

Selma police went out to the scene at Golden State Boulevard and Saginaw Avenue after receiving a call at 1:30 p.m.

Police said the conductor blew the horn in attempt to get the man’s attention.
