CHP: Madera deputy involved in rear-end crash on rural roadway
A Madera County Sheriff’s deputy was involved in an minor injury collision after he rear-ended another car in a three-car crash Thursday night, the Calfornia Highway Patrol reported Friday.
The crash took place at Avenue 12 and Road 34 1/2 .
The CHP said the unidentified deputy was eastbound on Avenue 12 about 9:30 p.m., approaching a stop sign with two vehicles, a 1996 Dodge and a 2016 Nissan in front of him. The deputy failed to see the Dodge, and ran into it, causing the Dodge to run into the Nissan. In the Dodge, Tobias Rubio, 22, of Madera suffered the injuries. Nicholas Post, 23, of Murfreesboro, Tenn. driving the Nissan, declined treatment.
