Parlier High teacher on motorcycle killed in multi-vehicle crash near Easton

A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday in a multi-vehicle crash near Easton, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash occurred about 6:15 a.m. at Manning and Maple avenues. The CHP called for a rescue helicopter after arriving at the collision scene.

The victim was identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Mark Bristol, 54, of Parlier.

He is the fifth motorcyclist to die on Fresno County roads since Aug. 2, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

Bristol was an ROTC instructor at Parlier High School, according to a Facebook post by the school.

“This morning, we were notified that Parlier High School NJROTC teacher, Chief Warrant Officer Mark Bristol, passed away in an automobile accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones during this time. Mr. Bristol was a highly respected teacher at Parlier High School. The staff and students are deeply impacted by his passing.”
