Major crash shuts down Jensen Avenue in both directions near Fresno, CHP reports
The California Highway Patrol shut down Jensen Avenue southwest of Fresno on both directions after a major-injury crash Saturday.
A red Chevrolet sedan crashed into a pole around 2:40 p.m. along West Jensen Avenue, just east of South Marks Avenue, according to the CHP’s incident website. The victim was described as a 35-year-old man. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with the major injuries.
Just after 3 p.m., the CHP reported traffic along Jensen in that area would be shut down. Drivers were asked to take a different route. The road was reopened by 3:30 p.m.
