Make up your mind already. Rain is here and returns next week —with warm spell in between
It should feel like spring in Fresno this weekend — but we’ll have to get through some rain first.
There is an 80 percent chance of rain Wednesday evening, with showers and thunderstorms likely after 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Those showers are expected to remain overnight and produce one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch of new rainfall, more in areas where thunderstorms hit.
But that rain should pass by Thursday evening into Friday, making way for a few days of dry conditions and some warming. In fact, we can expect above-seasonal temperatures by Saturday and a high of 75 degrees Sunday, according to the NWS.
Hooray for spring temps.
But that will be short-lived.
Another storm will hit the West Coast early next week and could bring more rain by Tuesday, according to an Area Forecast Discussion posted Wednesday.
“While models are having showing high uncertainty in the location and trajectory of the next disturbance, they at least indicate the presences of a possible storm,” the NWS wrote.
