The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno hosts a program Wednesday night, “How to Promote Peace & Prevent Violence and Hate” featuring six Fresno-area faith leaders.

Speakers include Cheryl Gardner, Mormon; Reza Nekumanesh, director of the host ICCF; Rabbi Rick Winer, Jewish; Paula Kanagwa, Buddhist; Amrik Singh Virk, Sikh; and Anna Lopez, Native American Indian.

Organizers say the program will conclude with a candlelight prayer vigil for the victims in recent attacks of violence, including the terror attack on the mosques in New Zealand.

The event runs 6-8:30 p.m. at the ICCF, 2111 E. Nees Ave.
