Woman dies after she’s hit by train in central Fresno
A woman walking on East Shields Avenue at North Wishon Avenue was struck and killed by a freight train Thursday afternoon, police reported.
Lt. Mark Hudson said the 40-year-old victim was eastbound when for an unknown reason she walked into the BNSF train about 1:30 p.m.
Hudson said Shields would be closed for about an hour.
