CHP found body of man on Highway 99 median. Investigators trying to determine how he died

The California Highway Patrol is investigating what appears to be a hit-and-run collision in which a pedestrian was killed near Delano on Highway 99.

The incident was reported Friday. The CHP said the body of the 52-year-old man was found on the median of northbound 99, north of Avenue 24, just before noon. The victim has not been identified, and investigators are not certain how long the victim had been lying at the crash scene.
