Fruit Avenue closed in central Fresno after SUV crashes into power pole
Fruit Avenue in central Fresno was shut down in both directions at Dayton Avenue on Tuesday morning after a sport-utility vehicle crashed into a power pole.
PG&E was called out to assess the damage to the pole. The incident was called in at 9:02 a.m.
The road was to remained closed for several hours.
The driver of the Honda Pilot was taken to a hospital, police said, though it’s unclear why the driver hit the pole.
