Shuttle system offers $5 trips to Kings Canyon National Park this weekend
Big Trees Transit of Sanger will shuttle passengers to Kings Canyon National Park for $5 this weekend. The service is available starting Friday and runs through Sept. 7.
After Memorial Day, riders can purchase round-trip tickets to the park for $15 and won’t have to pay the park’s $25 entrance fee that’s charged to people driving private vehicles. The shuttles leave from Fresno, Sanger and Squaw Valley four times per day.
The 18-passenger shuttle features luggage space, wheelchair accessibility and bike racks.
When visitors arrive at Grant Grove Village in the park, they can use the free in-park shuttle service that stops at several major attractions.
The bus picks up riders at Fresno Greyhound, Fresno Amtrak, Fresno Yosemite International Airport, Sanger Depot Museum and Squaw Valley Clingan’s Junction.
